1(68:2)Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

2(68:3)I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3(68:4)I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4(68:5)They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

5(68:6)O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

6(68:7)Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

7(68:8)Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

8(68:9)I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

9(68:10)For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

10(68:11)When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

11(68:12)I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

12(68:13)They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

13(68:14)But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

14(68:15)Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15(68:16)Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16(68:17)Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

17(68:18)And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

18(68:19)Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

19(68:20)Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

20(68:21)Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

21(68:22)They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22(68:23)Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

23(68:24)Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

24(68:25)Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

25(68:26)Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

26(68:27)For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

27(68:28)Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.

28(68:29)Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

29(68:30)But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30(68:31)I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31(68:32)This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32(68:33)The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

33(68:34)For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

34(68:35)Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

35(68:36)For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

36(68:37)The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

2salva me Deus quoniam venerunt aquae usque ad animam

3infixus sum in limo profundi et non possum consistere veni in profundum aquarum et flumen operuit me

4laboravi clamans exasperatum est guttur meum defecerunt oculi mei expectantes Deum meum

5multiplicati sunt super capillos capitis mei qui oderunt me gratis confortati sunt qui persequebantur me inimici mei iniuste quae non rapueram tunc reddebam

6Deus tu scis stultitiam meam et peccata mea a te non sunt abscondita

7non confundantur in me qui expectant te Domine Deus exercituum non confundantur in me qui quaerunt te Deus Israhel

8quia propter te portavi obprobrium operuit confusio faciem meam

9alienus factus sum fratribus meis et peregrinus filiis matris meae

10quia zelus domus tuae comedit me et obprobrium exprobrantium tibi cecidit super me

11et flevi in ieiunio animam meam et factum est in obprobria mihi

12et posui vestimentum meum saccum et factus sum eis in parabulam

13contra me loquebantur qui sedebant in porta et cantabant bibentes vinum

14mea autem oratio ad te Domine tempus reconciliationis est Deus in multitudine misericordiae tuae exaudi me in veritate salutaris tui

15erue me de luto ut non infigar libera me ab his qui oderunt me et de profundis aquis

16ne operiat me fluvius aquae et ne absorbeat me profundum et non coronet super me puteus os suum

17exaudi me Domine quoniam bona est misericordia tua secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum respice ad me

18et ne abscondas faciem tuam a servo tuo quoniam tribulor cito exaudi me

19accede ad animam meam redime eam propter inimicos meos libera me

20tu scis obprobrium meum et confusionem meam et ignominiam meam

21coram te sunt omnes hostes mei obprobrio contritum est cor meum et desperatus sum et expectavi qui contristaretur et non fuit et qui consolaretur et non inveni

22et dederunt in esca mea fel et in siti mea potaverunt me aceto

23sit mensa eorum coram eis in laqueum et in retributiones ad corruendum

24contenebrentur oculi eorum ne videant et dorsum eorum semper incurva

25effunde super eos indignationem tuam et ira furoris tui conprehendat eos

26fiat commoratio eorum deserta in tabernaculis eorum non sit qui habitet

27quoniam quem tu percussisti persecuti sunt et ut adfligerent vulneratos tuos narrabant

28da iniquitatem super iniquitatem eorum et non veniant in iustitia tua

29deleantur de libro viventium et cum iustis non scribantur

30ego autem pauper et dolens salus tua Deus suscipiet me

31laudabo nomen Dei in cantico et magnificabo eum in confessione

32et placebit Domino super vitulum novellum cornua efferentem et ungulas

33videntes mansueti laetabuntur qui quaeritis Deum vivet anima vestra

34quoniam exaudivit pauperes Dominus et vinctos suos non dispexit

35laudent eum caeli et terra maria et omne quod movetur in eis

36quia Deus salvabit Sion et aedificabit civitates Iuda et habitabunt ibi et possidebunt eam

37et semen servorum eius possidebit eam et qui diligunt nomen eius habitabunt in ea
